The Squadron regularly participates in national and international events, among others

  1. BulletTattoo by Horse in Stockholm 1995

  2. BulletMore than 70 riders participated 1999 at the recording of Jan Troell’s movie “Så vit som en snö” (premiere 2001)

  3. BulletSqvadron 2000 in Eksjö where approximately 90 riders representing all the cavalry regiments at the beginning of the twenthieth century.

  4. BulletThe General Enlistment in Gothenburg 2002 making four performances in two days, including 225 actors and 70 horses, entertaining about 15,000 spectators.

  5. BulletSchwadron Switzerland 2003 - 50 paarticipants went to Thun to exercise as “brothers-in-arms”

  6. BulletSchwedenfest in Wismar, Germany, 2004 where RSMF contributed to the 75 years jubilee with a historic parade including a hussar troop on horseback, a canon-six-in-hand and 2 wind corps.

 

Consists of five separate non-profit associations with the interest in common to preserve the tradition of the Swedish cavalry from late 19th century, approximately 1895. The associations are, with web links:


 

 

The regiments represented are:

K 5, existed from 21/5 1658 until 31/12 1927

K 6, existed from 1/7 1676 until 31/12 1927

K 7, existed from 19/12 1757 until 31/12 1927 

In 1928 they were merged to form K 2 which existed

until 1942
